Our dairy herd increases!

In 2010 we sold our cow and 'upgraded' to a good milking cow that was in calf. We are very happy to say that the cow has now given birth and is producing large volumes of quality milk each day.
This means the boys have an ample supply of fresh milk to drink every day, but most of it is sold to the local dairy which means we are able to buy feed for the cow, pay the vetinary fees and still have some left over. Then in October we were very happy when a Kenyan lady in the UK bought us a second cow, also in calf. This will give us a supply of milk well into the future, and further help our income. As the cows stop giving milk we will be able to sell them, as well as selling the calves, which will enable us to invest in more cows to keep the supply of milk flowing, or to meet other needs as they arise.
